Offering innovative solutions targeting the efficient use of water resources, Mikrohes Enerji ve Teknoloji A.Ş. optimizes energy production from an environmental perspective. For this purpose, we ensure sustainable energy production by integrating our hydroelectric plants with life water, tailwater, and agricultural irrigation canals.
Efficient utilization of water resources is of great importance for energy production and the preservation of ecological balance. Thanks to the integration of our hydroelectric power plants with life water, tailwater, and agricultural irrigation canals…
We convert the unused hydroelectric potential in tailwater and agricultural irrigation canals into energy.
We protect the ecological balance by generating energy without diverting water resources directly from their bed and without creating water reserves.
We increase efficiency by integrating available water flows such as life water and tailwater into power generation processes.
Expert Staff and Experience | Mikrohes offers the highest quality at every stage of projects with its expert staff consisting of experienced engineers and technicians.
The life water released from hydroelectric power plants for the sake of environmental sustainability is used efficiently for power generation, and energy is obtained without disturbing the ecological balance.
The tailwater that is not used at the outlet of the power plant is reused with the Archimedes Screw Turbine System to generate additional energy.
The water flow in agricultural irrigation canals is integrated with hydroelectric power plants to generate energy. This method increases efficiency, especially in water resources with low head and low flow rates.
These integration methods will not only increase power generation capacity but also minimize environmental impacts:
They significantly reduce annual CO2 emissions.
They contribute to local economies and support the achievement of environmental sustainability goals.
They maximize energy production by using available water resources efficiently.
Türkiye has approximately 250-300 MW of idle energy potential in the life water of hydroelectric power plants. This means approximately 3 billion kWh of electricity generation per year. At Mikrohes, we have carried out many successful projects to utilize this potential and increase energy production capacity:
Bayburt Hydroelectric Power Plant: Integrated with the tailwater canal, the plant generates 2,248,255 kWh of electricity per year and prevents 2190 tons of CO2 emissions.
Sapanca Municipality Project: A project that won environmental awards as it meets the energy needs of the municipality by converting the water flow in agricultural irrigation canals into energy.
